Button Makers And Their Backmarks
Images
Illustrated below are examples of backmarked buttons in alphabetical order of their makers' names. Most of the buttons have been recovered from the ground by metal-detectorists, so many of them are affected by abrasion, corrosion and other damage. The aim is to show a representative example of as many of the listed makers as possible. The images are not to a common scale.
